I'm not trying to make you feel sorry for me or whatever because I have money. I'm not an idiot. I understand intimately that having wealth is better than not. I know I'm lucky.
The point is just that wealth is not a linear thing. There's a threshold of wealth at which there's a phase change, and the rules of the game change. Society doesn't equip us to deal with this, and it breaks some people.
