Wealth grants you freedom, but that very lack of limits is corrosive. You can't be creative or artistic without constraints. Without structure, there's no way to define success or achievement. Failure ceases to be a threat, and doesn't motivate you to hone your skills and abilities.
In such an environment, it's very easy to lose track of what matters. It's easy for your life to cease to have meaning.
