The Silicon Valley AI hype people want to make it seem like interacting with a LLM is basically communing with a god. To them, all of its failures and weird quirks are signs of its inscrutable inhuman intelligence, and it requires extensive scholarly study to know the Mind Of God well enough to communicate with it.
Instead of, you know, a LLM basically being a spreadsheet of probabilities, and as such it occasionally (probabilistically) outputs nonsense. It's stupid, not magic.
