I literally just landed from my flight back from DEFCON and we could see the aurora from the plane!
Unfortunately, I didn't have a window seats and I didn't notice until it was too late. They turned the cabin lights on right as I was taking a long exposure with my phone, so I got a really crappy pic, but the people in the row in front of me got much cooler pics!
