I don't know if I've ever commented on this publicly, but prior to my current job, I worked at Fermilab for a bit. This was back in the days when the government was actually still concerned about COVID and we were in and out of the office. That, along with all of the issues I complain about currently, quickly led to me failing catastrophically and essentially getting fired (I was technically in a probationary period, so it was more like they declined to continue to employ me, but whatever).
