I could afford a new laptop, but I'm trying not to get caught up with the consumerism brainwashing. This laptop still works great, it just needed a better screen.
A brand new MacBook would be pretty, but functionally not much different from this. In fact, I would probably use it less because I'd be afraid of breaking it.
I can keep this guy out of a landfill and also use it to the max without worrying if I scratch it. Debian will probably run on this thing forever.
