Everyone thinks monochrome is the best way to do #astrophotography, so I keep trying it only to be thwarted every. single. fucking. time. by the camera giving me errors. So it's really hard for me to decide whether or not I prefer monochrome over one-shot-color.
I sent a support message to ZWO about it because it's clearly the fucking camera (or the ASIair+), not anything I'm doing. I'm tempted to buy a better mono cam, but buying a new camera is a rabbit hole I'm desperately trying to avoid.
