But the alternative isn't a life of meaningless boredom. The alternative is sleepwalking and being exploited for someone else's gain, while also being bored.
If I don't want to be used like that (I don't), then I need to accept that I will have to deal with some level of effort, discomfort, and pain. The comfort of my current life is a trap, a honeypot.
