lessons learned about :

- Color differences are barely perceptible by eye. You need a camera to see them.
- Aurora flows and flickers on millisecond timescales. It's incredibly difficult to capture this on camera.
- Cameras sensitive to near-IR will pick up things you can't see at all.
- Always be capturing in RAW.
- Expect terabytes of images. Bring as many memory cards and external drives as you can muster.
- Be prepared to adjust camera position as the aurora moves.
