I know the nuanced take on this stuff is that weather and climate are complex things and it's hard to determine what to attribute to this particular monster storm, but it's kind of obvious Hurricane Milton is another unprecedented storm that would not have existed in a cooler world.
The thing with unprecedented storms is by definition they might do things the experts don't expect. That aspect of being in uncharted territory is what scares the shit out of me when it comes to global warming.
